Medical Transcription Training
Medical Transcriptionists create and proof the legal medical records relied upon by virtually all healthcare professionals including physicians, pharmacists, therapists, nurses, dieticians, chiropractors, etc. In addition, Medical Transcriptionists are required to identify any inconsistencies in documentation to the provider to ensure that accurate documentation of care is provided.

· Describe the importance, content, purpose and confidential nature of medical reports
· Transcribe medical reports using the correct report format, capitalization, numbering, punctuation, abbreviation, symbols and metric measurement rules
· Correctly spell and define English and medical terms
Pre- Requisites: High School diploma or GED and a minimum typing speed of 50+ wpm.
